Halloween 2009 Review

It's about time I posted a recap of The Legend of Real Spooky Place--2009.
This year's haunt was another success. About 270 souls passed through the gates of Fartwood Cemetery on Halloween night. Even though the weather was great and the holiday fell on a Saturday, we didn't see the numbers we thought we would. Our friends in other neighborhoods said they weren't very busy either. It doesn't make sense to blame the economy--I would think more people would be out trying to score free candy--but who knows?

As usual, we had a "dress-rehearsal" on Friday night in order to make sure the foggers were OK and to fine-tune the lighting and other things. A few friends stopped by and I made some goodies to munch on.

Meringue Bones
Cat Cookies
Green Slime and Cyanide Cider
Hazmat Chili
Braaaaiiiiinnns!
(actually lemon panna cotta and raspberry coulis!)

Dale has more and much better photos and video on his site. Click here to check it out

All that stuff is so COOL: The brains and bones and all.
I just got most of my Halloween photos up yesterday, don't feel bad (on my Web site).
You must be thrilled w/the Packers today!

Thanks Jeanna, I had lots of fun making it all.
The Packer win was definitely unexpected, but I'll take it!

This spam thing is getting me down! Thankfully it is not as much as yours but still...what a pain.
When I started the FFB, I did a little research before the draft and tried to choose wisely, but a few of the players I chose for for more personal reasons. I chose Ricky solely because I wanted to give that pot-head a second chance--worked out pretty well! Sad I had to get rid of Samkon Gado though. I always liked him when he was a Packer. Little guy from Africa.
I am shocked I didn't win this week...it was looking so good until the night game! Grrrr.
