.......but they're really scallions. I picked up these monsters up at the Rolling Hills farmers' market today. They might be negi--a Japanese form of green onion--those are super long too, but those usually have more white part.
Check out the antique yard stick....might be a real collector's item if GM does fold.

At first, I was like, those don't seem that big. Then, I realized that's a YARD stick, not a regular ruler. Wow.
maybe they use special fertilizer?
